| Welcome to our community development web site This site has been established by New Atlantis a non profit organization and virtual country, as a general advice site relating to setting up, establishing and problem solving within residential communities. New Atlantis has a large number of web sites, our main one is www.new-atlantis.org, some others can be identified from the websites button at the top of this page. Information on the virtual kingdom has now moved to www.kingdom.new-atlantis.org A separate large web site www.build.new-atlantis.org contains information on building a floating kingdom in the Atlantic. You will also find within the build site quite a lot of ideas in relation to community developments.
There are many advantages and some disadvantages in creating communities, as well as different formats communities can take. Within this site, which is still developing we hope to be able to at least give you a great deal to think about. The introduction section looks at why you might want to set up a community, advantages, disadvantages, and more. Establishment looks at how to actually go about it. Participating looks from the other viewpoint at the person faced with the option to join a project. Troubleshooting covers how to prepare for difficult times of problems and how to overcome them. Using this site is like using a tree, with one level leading to another. At the very top of the page you will find a home button to get back to this page and on every page but this one, there is an up button to get back up an individual level.
